To complement Zoya's Stunning collection of carefree and bright cream polishes, the Irresistible collection consists of six shimmery and foil metallic nail polishes in bold, summery hues.

What does is a foil metallic finish? I'd describe it as a finish that is reflective like metal but not solid like a chrome finish. There are flecks of shimmer that give the polish depth and reduce signs of streaking. The polishes in the Irresistible collection that have a foil metallic finish are Kerry, Bobbi, Hazel, and Rikki (to my eye, at least... I don't have an electron microscope or anything).

And while we're at it, let's talk about Amy and Tinsley. Both Amy and Tinsley are semi-jelly polishes loaded with shimmer creating the illusion of a metallic polish. They are like metallic jellies. Full disclosure: I could be wildly off about all this. Feel free to tell me how wrong I am in the comments.

Question: if a cream + jelly polish hybrid = a 'crelly', what would a metallic + jelly polish hybrid be called?

Kerry is a bright foil metallic yellow that is so bright, it practically glows. I wasn't expecting the coverage to be great, but it was surprisingly wonderful. I only needed (2) coats. Kerry is not a dupe of Ziv.

Amys of the world, let's celebrate together because there is Zoya polish at last for us! And Amy is an awesome polish. I have had this silly worry for years that if/when Zoya released a polish named Amy, I wouldn't like it ;) Amy is a vivid reddish-orange almost jelly polish loaded with golden shimmer. Being a semi-jelly polish, pigmentation was on the sheer side, but I was still satisfied with just (2) coats. Isn't this just the perfect summer polish?

Zoya Amy

Tinsley is a rosy pink jelly polish loaded with golden shimmer. Tinsley and Amy are similar in the sense that the base color is sheer and semi-jelly to allow the golden shimmer shine through. Tinsley, however, is much more sheer than Amy. I needed (3) coats. Tinsley may be better as as layering polish - I actually haven't seen anyone do that yet, have you tried layering Tinsley?

Zoya Tinsley

Bobbi is a deep, cool toned pink with silver shimmer. In my swatch, it looks like there is blue (I actually had to grab my bottle again to double check), but I assure you there are no blue flecks in Bobbi! Bobbi has the best pigmentation of the Irresistible polishes and is almost a one-coater. I think I've seen this color before, perhaps in the Color Club foil collection a few years back?

Zoya Bobbi

Hazel is a stormy, desaturated blue polish with silver shimmer and pale gold flecks. Hazel has excellent pigmentation and I only needed (2) coats. Is Hazel a dupe for Crystal? Hazel is less saturated and more densely metallic than Crystal (check it out here).

Zoya Hazel

To put it simply, Rikki is the green version of Hazel. Rikki is a desaturated green polish with silver shimmer and pale gold flecks. Rikki has decent pigmentation - I only needed (2) coats.

  1. Amy looks like a glossy version of OPI Jinx? Love it!

  2. Wow! I'm not usually into shimmery, sparkly nail polishes, but some of these are stunning. :)

    1. And streak free, which is a always a bonus!
