With temperatures in the 90s here in NYC, it sure feels like summer 2013 is already here! I've said it before, but it's still true: summer is a great time to try a new nail polish color you haven't worn before (toes count!)

I selected five nail polish trends I think are standouts this season. For each trend, I'll share a polish in my collection and information about where you can purchase them. I've also created a Summer 2013 Nail Polish Trends board on Pinterest :)

PS - can you believe this is my third summer nail polish trend post?

Golden Brown Glitter

Golden brown glitter polish reminds me of a glowing campfire or sparkling sand at the beach - and what's more summery than that :) Worn alone or layered over another polish, a golden brown glitter nail polish is a great choice for summer 2013.

    1. There's something about them that is just so fun to wear, probably how the bumpy finish feels! Do you prefer one brand over another?

    1. Have you tried the Zoya summer collection ones? They are metallic but also foily, so there aren't any weird brush strokes. I still need to post my review of them!

    1. Ooo I don't have that one, is it as duochrome as it looks in the bottle?

    2. Well, to my memory, it's pretty close to that SC up there, and I never thought it looked terribly duochrome in the bottle. In fact, I would have never called it that until I got a comment on how well I captured it.... Okay, now I'm looking at the actual bottle and I still don't see any duo, just silvery aqua goodness. :)

    3. Good to know! Sometimes the round bottles make the duochrome show stronger than it does on the nail, because nails aren't curved as much as the bottles lol

  9. I totally agree on these trends, and I love them all actually :).
