China Glaze at NYFW: Backstage at Tadashi Shoji Fall/Winter 2013

China Glaze's new glistening white nail polish Dandy Lyin' Around from the spring Avant Garden collection was selected as the polish for Tadashi Shoji's Fall/Winter 2013 runway show this past Thursday at Lincoln Center.

Lead manicurist Joy A. Johnson shared how the look was created. Two very thin coats of Dandy Lyin' Around were used on the models, creating a look similar to "a light mist of snow". Dandy Lyin' Around has "a few hints of shimmer and a little bit of sparkle" without being glittery. The manicures complemented the eye makeup used in the show, which was a silvery line on the eyelid.

These manicures had to be done fast! Seche Vite Dry Fast Top Coat and an additional layer of China Glaze Fast Freeze Quick Dry were used to get the models' manicures runway-ready quickly.

Look for Dandy Lyin' Around and the Avant Garden collection in stores this March.

I'll have pictures from the runway show posted soon! Keep up with me during NYFW on Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram.

See more backstage pictures after the break.
