Summer Style

Do you have a favorite piece of clothing that you could wear everyday with anything/everything? This summer, these red shorts and blue sneakers are my summer essentials. I found the shorts at Nordstrom Rack a few months ago and have been basically living in them. I'm used to wearing bright colors on my nails and not so much as clothes (last summer I wore more neutrals and grey Converse) so wearing red shorts is a big fashion step for me ;)


I also love wearing holo polish in the summer - especially on weekends - so I can see all the colors that are only revealed by the sun. PS - aren't these Converse the most excellent shade of blue? I bought them from Nordstrom online (link!).

  2. Love your outfit, wish I could wear shorts like this (I hate shorts on me, they make my legs look horrible). And what would Summer be without Chucks?! I cannot live without mine and I prefer them over sandals, even when it is really hot ;)

    1. I'm not a huge shorts fan - they are all too small these days! OMG I'm so old lol. Agree, Chucks rock ALL the time :)

    1. When I first saw them, I thought I could resist and live without them... so I didn't get them. Then I was thinking about them all the time and of course they were sold out (at the time, at least). I tracked them down like a crazy person lol. Thank goodness for the internet (and free shipping!)

  5. OMG I'm the same way. I literally only ever wear black and grey cause I feel like I can't pull off wearing colors (with clothing) and so I usually just like to wear bright colors on my nails instead. I'm glad you've stepped out of your comfort zone and those red shorts look super cute on you. And your Chucks, I've been wanting those light blue chucks for so long but I always feel like I can wear color so I never buy them :( Maybe I should just go for it and stop being so scared hahaha!
