The Prince and the Polish

Polo Prince Harry

We sure have heard a lot about the Royal Wedding tomorrow! Coverage on the East Coast starts at 4AM on NBC, will you be watching? While it's about time wedding coverage and programming comes to an end, I for one will be excited to see the dress that Kate chooses for her big day :)

For those of you dreaming to be a princess, there is another British prince still available - Prince William's younger brother, Prince Harry! For the past two summers, Prince Harry has played polo on Governor's Island* in the Veuve Clicquot Polo Classic, which was where my boyfriend took these amazing pictures. Prince William lead Team Sentebale and Team Black Watch was lead by Ralph Lauren model Nacho Figueras *swoon* . The Veuve Clicquot Polo Classic will again return to Governor's Island this summer on June 5th!

Onto the polish! Color Club Do You Believe in Amour? would be a fitting choice for a royal wedding or for a hopeful princess to be ;) This soft pink is a sophisticated and opaque pastel without looking stark or chalky.

*Governor's Island is one of NYC's surreal and odd islands only minutes from the downtown Manhattan via ferry. This deserves an entire dedicated post, of course!

See more incredible pictures my boyfriend took at the 2009 polo match after the break:

  1. 1. I will not be watching, but I'm glad that they're going to get married so we can all just move on and find other things to talk about.

    2. Ew, Prince Harry is such a consolation prize. And not even a good one, like a car or tropical cruise. He's like a toaster or a fruit basket.

    3. Nacho Figueras is such a beautiful man. He's certainly not a consolation prize. Although if I ever met him, I would not be able to resist the urge to ask him, "What do you call cheese that's not yours?"

    4. Beautiful polish!! I love how it looks with your nail length. ^_^

  2. I'll take either one (or both) of those men...droooool! Pretty polish - it would go over well at the Royal wedding. And coverage starts at 2 AM here in NM. 2. A. M. CRAZY!

But I like the polish :)
And I loove your blog - just found it and love the creativity in the presenting of polishes :) Keep up the good work.
