Cosmetic Show! Part 1 (of 2)

Cosmetic Show, 150 East 55th Street (between 3rd and Lex)

I'm excited to tell you about a store located in midtown east that sells old nail polish. Cosmetic Show has a wide assortment of perfume, foundation, lipstick, lip liner, and eyeliner among other random products (ex: snack food) from years past. While the nail polish selection pales in comparison to the tables and tables of lipsticks, I was giddy where I found bags of Street Wear bundled in packs of - wait for it - FOUR FOR ONE DOLLAR! I am pleased to show you the contents of bag #1.

Halo is a bright, frosty, pale yellow gold with tiny silver glitter flecks.

Grass Stain is a pale green with gold shimmer.

Psychadelic has long, holographic pieces mixed with round and square pink glitter. What do you think this would look good over?

Nothing turned out to be my favorite! This beige nude has a little shimmer in it.

I would recommend stopping by Cosmetic Show if you are in the area. While there is no shortage of Street Wear stock here, I think this is the kind of place where you may stumble upon some hidden treasures. Or, the actual Sally Hansen Hidden Treasure - could you imagine!?

Update: As of August 2011, the stock of Street Wear was very, very low.

I have four more colors to show you tomorrow!

I purchased the products featured in this post. Read more about my disclosure policy here.

  1. Oh I love NYC so much (not only because that kind of great stores...), you never know what you're gonna find on the next corner ! I really have to go back there. And I think Psychadelic would love great on a black polish.

  2. Yes! I agree - black would be a good base. Maybe an "almost black" color, like Black Cherry Chutney!
